A category B driving course is a serious step. As a prospective student, you want to know how it works. We explain the path ahead to obtaining your category B driving license.
As a prospective driver, you’ll need a PKK number which is a Driver Candidate Profile. You’ll need a few documents. At our driver training center, we help you gather these documents and we can even visit the City Hall (if you’re registered in Poznań) or the District Office (if you live in Poznań county) on your behalf and obtain the number for you.

Theoretical Course – Access to an Online Mobile App
We resign from traditional theoretical classes. In this part of the course, we provide you with an online learning platform, and when you feel you’ve mastered the material, you take the theory exam at the Provincial Road Traffic Center (WORD). The platform gives you access to materials with an up-to-date question database, guaranteeing flawless preparation for the theory exam.
And how long does a driving theory course last? It depends entirely on how much time you dedicate to studying daily. If you dedicate a few hours a day, you’ll be ready for the state exam at WORD even after just a few days. Then, you sign up for the state exam, take it, and pass without a problem, as none of the exam questions should surprise you.
Practical Course at Vroom
Now comes the most important part of the course – driving lessons. You’ll learn the basics of how a passenger car works, the maneuvering area, driving around the city, maneuvering in city traffic, and a test simulation – everything related to preparing for the practical exam – in a stress-free training session. At our driving school, we focus on ensuring you’re as prepared as possible for independent driving, as well as maneuvering on the maneuvering area.
The course takes place in Poznań and lasts 30 hours. We also drive extensively on the exam routes, but not only that. As part of the course, you’ll also receive in-person first aid training.
Manual or automatic? Which is better for the practical exam?
Driving a manual transmission is more demanding, as you’ll need to master the clutch and gearbox. Don’t be discouraged though, as mastering this often only takes a few hours. Remember one very important thing: if you’re taking the course and test on an automatic, the examiner will enter a code on your driving license that will disqualify you from driving a manual car. What happens if you go on vacation and the local rental company only has manual transmissions? What if you take your car to a service center and they don’t have an automatic transmission? Consider your choice carefully before choosing which vehicle to use for your category B driving license.
